You get a card that is scanned at the ride queue and depending on if it's a single use or unlimited they will take it. Quick queues work differently than fast passes. People were exiting en masse between 8-9 (park was open until 10 the day we were there).

All queues are covered though which is fantastic.Īnimals are active all day up until dinner time when a lot of them are taken off exhibit, so post this time would also be great to ride stuff. Cheetah Hunt got up to a 100 minute wait. We did quick queue and were able to do all of them before lunch and then did rerides later. The park gets increasingly busy past noon, so if you do not want to do quick queue I would suggest riding as many coaster as possible in the morning. I would just eat at the park, especially if you go on a Food and Wine festival day. They do not have a picnic area like CP (I think it is closed anyways) so packing something for lunch isn't really reasonable. They have hand sanitizer at the exit of every ride, but whether you get sprayed with sanitizer or it actually gets on your hands depends on of the pump is broken. I had one ride op over the mic tell us to distance but nobody changed how they were standing. Masks are required and enforced, social distancing is not. People just kinda left sandals and such sitting on the exit platform. They do not have bins on anything for loose articles. They also absolutely allow fanny packs on every ride, so I suggest one. Park is small enough you dont need to keep taking things out and moving them around the park with you. Just get a locker at the front for the entire day.

It's not convenient to leave something out there, unless you upgrade to preferred. General parking is across a road and a mile long trek, unless you wait for a tram. Unless you do preferred parking, make sure to bring EVERYTHING you want with you for the day into the park. However, they did not start letting people in until 9:30.

We arrived early (9 am) for a good parking spot and to figure out quick queue and how to redeem guest passes (we bought a gold pass). If this is your first time, here are some things I learned from my first time: We were able to get 15 punches for the food fest so that was nice. Overall had a really great time, the quick queue helped make the day seem very fulfilled. Unfortunately ONE TRAIN OPS so it took ages to get on even with the quick queue, but man am I sad we did not reride this thing. Probably a 7/10, wasn't bad but wasn't great either. This coaster is pretty good, but I didnt find anything about it to be super stellar. Kumba: This might have been my more forgettable ride from the trip, I'm not sure why. My mom is definitely not a fan so she skipped riding the second time and just enjoyed a cocktail from the food festival (which was super fun despite all the walking). My dad and I love this coaster, although the second ride was definitely faster and more intense after our morning ride. Tigris (twice): Such a cool coaster! Super different than anything I've ridden. I think this is a family favorite for sure. Loved both rides, got front row second time and just loved it more. Sheikra (twice): Fantastic coaster and better than Valravn. 10/10, but did not get to ride it again (my dad is -10/10). We rode back row second time so I was worried about that, but we had a great time.įalcon's Fury: I know it is not a coaster but I seriously love this drop tower.

I loved all the elements but honestly missed that ending helix Raptor has at CP. Both rides were super enjoyable, night ride was even better. My dad almost did a big "nope" while riding cause he can't handle spinning, but ended up enjoying it.

The theming was cute, and I really loved all the free spinning at the end. The night ride however we got front row which just you know chefs kiss.Ĭobra's Curse: Never ridden anything like this before, hard to judge, but we all super enjoyed this one so I'm giving it an 8/10. The night ride was fantastic, you get a clear shot of IG and it was all beautifully lit up in purple light. Was underwhelmed initially but I think I was comparing it too much to Maverick at CP (which happens to be my fav steel coaster). Dad decided to get the gold pass to save money overall and save money on unlimited quick queue, which allowed us to reride multiple coasters.Ĭheetah hunt (twice): first day ride was a 6/10, night ride made it a 9/10. They definitely did not ride all the coasters, so I was determined to ride them all and we did! Very happy. I'm not sure why Reddit refuses to upload all my photos but sorry!!!įor this trip my parents were the ones doing general guiding as they were just here back over Christmas.
